With many of us eating out or at an office desk, Lunch can be one of the trickiest meals to manage healthfully.
As always, Dr. Perricone recommends plenty of vegetables and at least 20 grams of protein at lunch along with a small amount of a healthy monounsaturated fat (like 1 teaspoon of olive oil or a few olives). A typical Perricone-inspired lunch may look like:
- Grilled fish over a salad.
- Lentil and vegetable soup with herbs and a salad.
- Spinach salad with chicken or turkey.
- Apple slices or berries for dessert.
