A great way to get back on track after holiday indulgences is to enjoy a green-based smoothie or shake. This shake is not only packed with fiber, potassium, protein and Omega-3’s, it also contains Coconut oil. A number of studies have found that the medium chain triglycerides in coconut oil actually have a thermogenic effect on the body, meaning that they digest quickly, providing the body with energy and giving the metabolism a boost.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup plain low-fat yogurt or kefir.
- 1 and ½ tablespoons Coconut oil.
- 1 handful organic Spinach.
- 1 small handful Kale, about 2 leaves.
- 3 tablespoons Almond Butter
- 1 tablespoon Spirulina
- ¼ cup Coconut Milk.
- 1 tablespoon Chia seeds.
Directions
- Combine ingredients in food processor or blender.
- Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined.
- Enjoy.

When it is recommended to take this smoothie ???
Hi Samantha. This shake makes a great breakfast or lunch.
Love your products………and your recipes. Would you kindly make your online recipes “user friendly” so that I can print them out………..or put them into a PDF format so that I can either print or save to computer. Thanks.
Se puede sustituir la mantequilla de almendra con almendras tostadas ya que en mi localidad no hay en forma de mantequilla y cuantas almendras
si no encuentro la almendra en mantequilla puede ser sustituida por almendras tostadas y por cuantas
3 tablespoons of almond butter?….is this correct, because that alone is 570cal, without adding another 1 and a 1/2 of coconut oil + other ingredients……..Can you please provide nutritional value for this, because just looking at this from my end it’s equal to a big mac meal (mind you this WILL always be better)…..thank you so much and let me say that I love all the recipes
