As many of us embark on last minute shopping trips, here are a couple things to keep in mind:
1. Buy organic foods that are free of antibiotics, pesticides and growth hormone.
2. Read labels and avoid dairy products that contain the following ingredients:
- potassium sorbate
- sweeteners
- fillers
- stabilizers
- guar gum
- carageenan
- food coloring
3. Choose Eggs from cage-free chickens that are fed diets high in omega-3′s, such as flaxseed.
