Tracy credits Start Fresh with changing her relationship with food as well as helping her maintain her 90 lb weight loss.
I had always been an unhealthy eater and by 2009, was 100 lbs overweight. I had lost about 90 lbs through unhealthy means (like cutting down on protein), which really took a toll on my skin. Between the weight loss making skin appear loser, and severe breakouts, my skin was a mess.
By January 2010, I knew that if I wanted to keep this weight off, I needed to eat healthier and make a lifestyle change. I had read Dr. Perricone’s Clear Skin Prescription and was intrigued-and skeptical- that I could finally get clear skin by improving my diet.
I found the Perricone MD Facebook Page and enjoyed the advice and tips shared by people I met on the page. When I heard about the Start Fresh Challenge, I decided to enter for no other reason than to force myself commit to eating healthier for a month. Little did I know it would help me change my view on food- and change my life!
I started the 28 Day Start Fresh diet with some modifications for the fish (I’ll be back sharing tips on modifying the diet!). After just 3 days, my very red inflamed skin seemed to calm down and the redness faded. At the end of the month, my skin was clear and radiant. The best part? I discovered I felt much better eating the Perricone way, and have stuck with it more or less consistently for the last 2 years. I’ve kept the weight off and improved my skin. I’m really looking forward to it and I hope you’ll join me in kicking off 2012 with Dr. Perricone’s Start Fresh Challenge!
Stay tuned for more details on Start Fresh 2012: Dr. Perricone’s 28 Day Total Skin & Body Challenge to Restore, Regenerate and Energize.

I lost 5lbs in less than one week eating according to Dr. Perricone’s recommendations.
His approach doesn’t feel like a diet at all.
Please share your modifications in place of the fish. I do not eat seafood and would love some ideas on what works it its place for fresh start challenge.
WOW-WEE!!! FABULOUS RESULTS!!
This might be impressive to those who do not think about it….. however, when you notice that on the left her hair is pulled back, darker color, no makeup at all…… and on the right, colored hair, nicer hair-do, makeup on face and eyes, lipstick……. not a real indication of anything.
If she, on the left, had her hair fixed and makeup on, then it might be a fair comparison….. or on the right, take all that makeup off and pull her hair back, would she really look much different? I doubt it.
Sandy- I’ve seen a number of photos of Tracy without her makeup on during the time her skin was very angry and inflamed. I’ve seen her struggle with chronic, cystic acne. I’ve watched her commit to a 3 tiered approach that has helped her achieve beauty from the inside out. She has accomplished impressive goals thru hard work, education, and dedication to a plan that works. I would encourage you to join the discussions on the FB page. You’ll have the opportunity to see other B & A pix– like the one for Acyl G that was used for a national ad campaign.
that’s so great…love these stories of transformation. so, what about resolution of the loose skin? did you experience, or have you experienced changes in that?
