Amanda’s No-Mess Method of Seeding a Pomegranate

Today Perriconista Amanda shares her technique for seeding one of nature’s most powerful anti-aging fruits, the Pomegranate.

1. Cut the crown off of the pomegranate.

2. Score the fruit into four sections, just through the membrane.

3. Soak the pomegranate in a bowl of water for 5 minutes. This will prevent your fingers and kitchen from turning pink!

3. Loosen the arils

4. Strain- The arils sink to the bottom, making it easy to separate them from the membrane.

5. Enjoy!

Check back Friday for a variety of ways to incorporate pomegranates into your holiday entertaining.

  1. This is great Amanda, I actually learned a little different way, I fill my clean sink with water and place my colander right in the water. I cut my pomegranate while it is immersed in the water, also into quarters, and then I’m able to get all my precious seeds out and into my colander for a final rinse without any mess or fuss whatsoever!! Thank you Amanda for sharing the Pomegranate love!!
