As a follow-up to our blog on how to ‘Weather-Proof Your Skin’, we’ve added a few more tips that can help you get your skin in shape for falling temperatures:
- Apply antioxidant rich moisturizers, like Hypoallergenic Nourishing Moisturizer, to skin while it is still damp from the shower.
- Keep your showers and baths short, and use warm, not hot water.
- Skip sugary, starchy foods, which cause an inflammatory response in the body and exacerbate a host of skin problems from wrinkles to dry skin to acne, eczema, rosacea, etc.
- Limit alcohol, which will accelerate dehydration, and avoid coffee, as it is a diuretic.
What changes to your skin routine do you take to get your skin ready for the winter?
I would like to know if their are any remedies to treat eczema or if any of your products or supplements help treat it and the scarring that comes with it. Thanks
