The Skin Vitamin

by

Often touted as a dermatologist favorite, vitamin A is fat soluble and known for many health benefits, including its ability to encourage healthy skin.  Topical Retin-A, an acid form of Retin-A, is one of the most popular prescriptions for helping to address acne and aging skin.  Skincare products with retinol, the alcohol form of vitamin A, are available without a prescription and when applied to the skin, are converted into small amounts of Retin-A.  I am often asked if Retin-A products are compatible with the Perricone MD skincare line.  While many people do successfully pair their favorite treatments with Retin-A, it is recommended that you consult your doctor before combining to ensure the combination is compatible with your skincare routine.

Do you ever use Retin-A or retinol?
