One of the worst dietary crazes of all times belongs to the 1980s, which heralded in the age of the no-fat diet. Unfortunately this myth still exists today and supermarket shelves are flooded with high-glycemic carbohydrate foods, offering little in the way of nutrients, but plenty in the way of empty calories. These foods became dietary mainstays for many people, especially women, who indulge in snack foods such as reduced-fat “baked” potato and corn chips, and fat-free rice and corn cakes, cookies, pretzels and crackers. Millions of people, again, especially women are placing themselves in a chronic inflammatory condition. Why? Because eating these foods provokes an aging, pro-inflammatory rapid rise in blood sugar, resulting in elevated insulin levels.
So skip the fat-free trend and work to incorporate healthy fats into your diet. Focus on swapping high-glycemic carbohydrates with foods rich in healthy fats like cold water fish (especially wild Alaskan salmon, halibut, sardines, herring, anchovies, etc.), nuts, seeds, and olive oil.
How do you incorporate healthy fats into your diet?

Hello
I would like to know what Dr Perricone feels on eating for your blood type diet?
Hi Mia. Dr. Perricone believes that an anti inflammatory diet should be followed- regardless of blood type.

Hi Suzanne. The pills are all normal size- no oversize tablets.
Are rice cakes made with brown rice bad for you?
Hi Paula. They still have a high glycemic level best to look for whole, unprocessed foods like nuts for snacks.
