Brussels Sprouts with Three-Citrus Butter
(yields 8 servings)
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. Brussels sprouts trimmed and sliced in half
- 1/4 stick butter and 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tsp. organic lemon zest
- 2 tsp. organic orange zest
- 2 tsp. organic tangerine zest
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Cook Brussels sprouts in a large saucepan of salted boiling water for about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Drain and place on a platter.
- Melt butter in a saucepan and add olive oil.
- Stir in citrus zest.
- Pour over Brussels sprouts.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
