Glutathione and Aging

by

Important studies have shown that glutathione can actually reverse the early effects of glycation on myosin (protein in muscle) function.  Glutathione levels in our cells typically decrease as we age.  In fact, studies show glutathione blood levels decrease 17% between the ages of 40 and 60, resulting in a gradual decline in immune function.

Studies also show that people with higher levels of glutathione have one third the incidence of:

  • arthritis
  • high blood pressure
  • heart disease
  • circulatory problems
  • gastrointestinal distress/stomach problems
  • diabetes
  • urinary tract infections

How do you maintain healthy levels of glutathione?
