Start Fresh With Yoga: Plank Pose

Plank Pose

  1. Start in Downward-Facing Dog.
  2. Draw your torso forward until the arms are perpendicular to the floor.  Your shoulders should be directly over the wrists and your abdominals should be drawn in.
  3. Press your front thighs up as you lengthen your tailbone toward your heels.
  4. With each exhale feel your ribs soften and your abdominals draw forward.
