I am a huge proponent of keeping a food journal. After 25 years in private practice, I have noticed that those patients who keep a written record of their daily food intake, supplements and exercise regimen tend to achieve better, faster and more pronounced results. A major benefit of keeping a food journal is the motivational value it can provide when the diet “honeymoon” is over and the will power starts to waiver. Reading over the cumulative days of perseverance and nutritional discipline serves as a powerful reminder that you can stick with your diet regimen or lifestyle change. Patients who keep a food journal are easily able to see patterns in their diet successes and continue the behaviors that enable them to best stay on track. Conversely, they can easily trace what derailed their diet or see why their weight loss may have plateaued. My patients who have kept food journals report having learned to be proactive rather than reactive with respect to their diet and generally report feeling a greater level of control over their lives and lifestyle choices. Will you start keeping a food journal?

I agree with this advice. I myself began to track the food I eat, and without feeling guilty when I slip up, it allows me to see objectively what I am putting into my body, and when I see good things I eat, it makes me feel good, and encourages me to keep putting in good things… hard to know exactly why it works, but it does, and can be applied to many areas of ones life.

Hi Chester. To cut your cravings, try the Metabolic Formula Supplements. Also, try drinking plenty of water and eating high quality lean proteins the day after a night of indulgence. If you are indulging in sweets, try to supplement with Cinnamon, as it helps to control blood sugar.
