Forever Young: Triangle Pose

This pose is part of the Strengthening Sequence featured in Forever Young.  This sequence focuses on increasing bone density, overall strength, and flexibility while reducing stress and fatigue.

Triangle Pose

  1. Position your feet about 4 feet apart.
  2. Extend your arms out through your fingertips.
  3. Turn your right foot out 90 degrees and your left foot slightly in.
  4. On the exhale, extend your torso to the right and place your right hand on your right shin or on the floor behind your ankle.
  5. Turn your chest to the ceiling and look to the sky.
  6. Roll your left shoulder back and extend your left arm toward the ceiling.
  7. Breathe into the pose for five breaths, then press your feet firmly into the floor to come up.
  8. Switch sides and repeat.
