This pose is part of the Strengthening Sequence featured in Forever Young. This sequence focuses on increasing bone density, overall strength, and flexibility while reducing stress and fatigue.
Triangle Pose
- Position your feet about 4 feet apart.
- Extend your arms out through your fingertips.
- Turn your right foot out 90 degrees and your left foot slightly in.
- On the exhale, extend your torso to the right and place your right hand on your right shin or on the floor behind your ankle.
- Turn your chest to the ceiling and look to the sky.
- Roll your left shoulder back and extend your left arm toward the ceiling.
- Breathe into the pose for five breaths, then press your feet firmly into the floor to come up.
- Switch sides and repeat.
