If you haven’t incorporated turmeric into your diet, you may want to start. Based on the current body of scientific evidence, the curcuminoids found in turmeric are the single most promising food-derived compound to combat cancer. M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, and other top cancer research centers in the United States are involved in preclinical and clinical research on the anticancer mechanism and application of curcuminoids in conditions including colon, breast, head, neck, and prostate cancer, multiple myeloma, and respiratory tract cancers. The curcuminoids prevent NF-kB activation with extreme efficiency.

What’s your favorite way to use turmeric?
We use it on eggs, burgers, chilli, Italian dishes for a spicy flavor. We also use Indian curry.
I have a dry cough brought on by BP medication. I take a teaspoon of honey and sprinkle turmeric on top a couple of times a day and it soothes my cough.
I love using termeric in egg omelets with spinach and also when I make quinoa.
Turmeric helps my low carb curries have more color and zing!
Believe it or not I put it in my smoothie-can’t even taste it!
