Here Comes The Sun
A sun salutation is a series of poses linked with the breath. Use your breath to initiate each movement. A sun salutation can be used in the beginning of your yoga practice, as a warm-up to your strength training, or as a practice by itself.
Sun Salutation Step By Step
- Stand tall with your hands in prayer.
- Inhale and lift your arms overhead.
- Exhale into a forward bend.
- Inhale and lift the chest.
- Exhale into a forward bend.
- Inhale and step back into plank.
- Exhale and lower yourself towards the floor.
- Inhale and lift the chest into cobra.
- Exhale and lift back in downward facing dog.
- Inhale and walk your feet between your hands.
- Exhale into a forward bend.
- Inhale and stand up lifting your arms above your head.
- Exhale and place your hands in prayer at your chest.
