Sunscreen as a Habit

All skin tones are vulnerable to sun damage from the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Applying sunscreen at the start of your day should be as automatic as combing your hair. If your is oily, use oil-free sunscreens that will not clog pores. Many moisturizers have built-in sun protection, as noted by the SPF (sun protection factor) rating. Just make sure that any product you use has an SPF no lower than 15.

As an active researcher, I welcome your comments and suggestions.

  1. I have a friend who believes that she doesn’t need to use sunscreen because her skin is very oily, and she heard that oily skin doesn’t wrinkle easily! I use SPF30 every day and am a firm believer that it is why I look younger than my age.

  2. Does Dr.Perricone sell a sunscreen, or what does he recommend?

    1. Brenda,

We currently have a product – No Foundation Foundation that has a SPF 30. We will also be launching, this summer, a moisturizer to the line with a SPF 25

  3. Hi,

I’ve blond hair and my skin is almost white as milk.

I’m going to The Middle East for three weeks this summer and I was wondering if Dr. Perricone’s “No Foundation Foundation” would offer enough protection for my skin in terms of the very strong sun in this area?

    Stephan

    1. No Foundation Foundation does have SPF 30 protection, but with your fair skin, we recommend you reapply that or a sunscreen often and ‘get shady’ with a broad-rimmed hat.
