Hangover Remedies for Inside and Out

istock_inbed

Should you over indulge in alcohol –  drinking fresh, pure water and taking the right blend of nutritional supplements can hep repair the internal and external damage that greets you the following morning. I recommend drinking a 10 – 12 ounce glass of  water and taking 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C, 1,200 milligrams of N-acetyl cysteine, 100 milligrams of ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid), 1,000 milligrams of glutamine, 500 milligrams of pantothenic acid and a B-complex supplement.

Coffee is not an antidote; in fact, it will leave you feeling even worse!

Following a bout of excess alcohol, targeted topical treatments – such as formulas featuring DMAE, vitamin C ester and ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) – will enhance your appearance in several ways:

  • Maintain that fresh, rosy look of youth and health
  • Revive dull, lifeless skin
  • Minimize skin discoloration and redness
  • Reduce dark circles under the eyes
  • Decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Protect from free-radical damage

As an active researcher, I welcome your suggestions and comments.

  1. Great advice for the upcoming Holiday season and the coctails we indulge in!

  2. The Skin & Total Body vitamins really work terrific. I bought them when I was at Nordstorm in Seattle.

  3. Drinking a big glass of water right before bed is also a great way to avoid the dehydration headache the next morning.

  4. Coconut water also helps alot. A bikram yoga session is brutal with a hangover but gets you over it fast.
